25 Oct We Care Online Staff Highlight: Kayla Neitzel
This month you get to meet Kayla Neitzel.
Kayla has worked in the healthcare field for 17 years.
“I started out as a CNA/CMA. I graduated with my LPN in 2003 and my RN in 2011.”
The majority of Kayla’s work in the healthcare field has been in LTC, acute care (telemetry, medical surgical, ICU, post cardiac cath.), and working as a Registered Nurse. She has also worked as RN Case Manager and adjunct instructor. Kayla has a KDADS approval to teach the Home Health Aide.
Kayla is married and lives KS. She has 3 children and enjoys spending time with her family. She has seen a lot of change in the healthcare field since she started working 17 years ago. Some of the biggest changes she has seen in healthcare are in electronic charting and tele-health. She states, “Don’t be afraid to try something new, you have to start somewhere!”
Everyone at WeCareOnline plays an important role in helping students have the best online learning experience possible. Kayla is teaching our online Home Health Aide course. Since WeCareOnline is an online company, Kayla knows that people don’t get to see her face to face or to see her work space. She says her work space is organized and her favorite quote is “Sometimes you don’t realize your own strength until you come face to face with your greatest weakness.”
