Parenting stress can come up at any time, for those who are caring for children of all ages.  It is important to first acknowledge the stress and how it is affecting you, and then focus on dealing with it.  A stressed-out parent makes it challenging to properly care for a child.  Too much stress can add to impatience, lack of energy and motivation, and frustration.  Here are 5 tips on how to reduce your parenting stress today:

  1. Take care of yourself. Find an activity or place to unwind for a few minutes each day.  It is important to have a few self-care activities that you can practice regularly to help reduce your stress.  Make sure that healthy eating and sleep are also a priority.
